Smartlife Camera – Detailed Troubleshooting Guide

If your camera won’t connect to the Smartlife app, you can follow this guide.

1. Check the network

The camera only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, not 5 GHz.
Make sure your phone is connected to your Wi-Fi network. If your phone is not connected to your Wi-Fi router, the camera will not be able to be added.
Check that the router has a stable internet connection.

2. Reset the camera

Hold the reset button for about 5–10 seconds until the LED starts blinking (the indicator light shows that the camera is ready for setup).

3. Place the camera close to the router

During setup, the camera should be no more than 2–3 meters from the router to ensure a strong signal.

4. Give the app the necessary permissions

Temporarily disable mobile data so the phone only uses Wi-Fi during setup.
Make sure the Smartlife app has access to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and location on your phone.

5. Troubleshooting if it still doesn’t work

Delete the app from your phone and try the setup again
Try another setup method (Automatic vs. manual with QR code). You can see our QR code guide here
